candace. --> 2010 senior.

This is part deux of Candace's senior pictures.. (Is it weird that every time I type her name, I always type "Candance" and have to delete it? Yes?)
As you may recall, we did her first set with her hair long, then she chopped it off and we did some more photos...personally, I LOOOOVE her short hair...

Ha. :)

So I finally decided to bleach out the dark underneath my bangs tonight...I am convinced my hair probably glows in the dark now.

If I wasn't scared of the dark, I'd totally test it out.

Family shoot next! I think...things are all starting to run together...what day is it.. ?

peace.

caitlin. --> i don't know what to call this shoot. :)

(haha...Christmas gift for parents shoot? I don't know.)

Lots of talking on this shoot, mostly because I hadn't seen Caitlin since high school. (We used to be in newspaper together...hands down my favorite class in high school!) She brought a ton of outfits to choose from too...sooo excited!

I love how easily her eyes caught light..

The ultimate 4-year old cheesy grin..

Note to self: Bring breakfast to the next morning shoot so your client doesn't eat the grass from the location.

Proofs are going up! Senior girl neeext..

peace.

Dear Caitlin,

Thanks for the sweet new kicks!

chad, jennifer, chelsea, jake, chase. --> family.

I honestly don't think this shoot could have gone any better! Definitely one of my favorite family photo sessions to date. This family is so comfortable in front of the camera and each other...it really made my job SO easy! There was never any of those awkward forced smiles or uncomfortable poses. I just got lucky and got a family full of models. :)

I seriously do not do this on purpose.

Had two shoots today...about to take a nap (I'm running on four hours of sleep) and then start on the first one!

P.S. Recently obsessed with this leather jacket and wearing ribbons in my hair.

Also, doubling myself in Photoshop.

jamie, easton, corbin. --> family.

If there is one thing I've learned about shooting kids, it's that you have to be prepared to become the tickle monster at the drop of a hat.

Also, carrying a candy store in your purse doesn't hurt either.

These two boys kept me cracking up throughout the whole shoot...it really made me realize what a kid I am. (I laughed harder when Corbin made a fart noise than anyone else.)

And how gorgeous is Jamie?

You can't have a session with kids without out-takes...come on now..

I love that business has been booming here lately...but you know what I wish I had some spare time for?

This.
I have so many ideas running through my head. Mmm, December shall be messy. :)

I'm going to take a nap, then start working on a super fun family session I had tonight. I have two shoots tomorrow, so I'm trying to stay focused and caught up.

Sleep has become optional. :)

allie. --> 2010 senior.

SO MUCH FUN with Allie and her mom (and little Sydney!) on this shoot. Allie brought a beautiful formal dress to do some photos in and I was SO pumped!

I love how creative my 2010 seniors have been! You guys make my job so freaking fun. :)

So I drive by this one house ALL the time, and I always make a mental note to find out who owns it so I can do some photos there...it literally looks like a life-size dollhouse. (I should have gotten a photo of the whole house!) I am completely in love with it!
Low and behold, I find out Allie's grandparents have owned it...up until this week. So I had my chance to shoot at the life-size dollhouse. :)

Problem: Everyone who drives by stares at you because you're sitting under a tree in a huge gown.
Solution: Princess wave.

Going to do a bit more editing, then hopefully get to bed before the sun wakes up. :)

austin. --> 2010 senior.

Gryffindor shirt?

YES PLEASE.

Random school desks in an alley?

YES PLEASE.

Rubix cube?
YES PLEASE.

Gryffindor shirt AND Rubix cube AND random school desks in an alley?

OKAY!

Had sooo much fun on this shoot! Senior boys tend to be fairly awkward in front of a camera, but Austin was a BLAST. He caught on pretty quick and I loved all the stuff he brought. Here's a few more favorites..

OUT-TAKES!

I think we stood in this alley for a good ten minutes debating what exactly this was. There's a spout on the other side...so...like...do you just put milk in it? We didn't get it. So we just took a picture of it and continued on our merry way..

Again. The hand. I know.

Austin - "Hey I have some swim goggles!"
Me - "Sweet!! Let's do some pictures with them!"
Austin - "Okay... What do I do?"
Me - "Uhhh..."

Spent the weekend in Oklahoma City at Donnie, Lane, and Aly's new apartment...check out this sick view:

Loooove. I'll be up there a lot in December.

Back to work. Senior girl next. :)

jordan. --> 2010 senior.

Had SO much fun with Jordan and her mom on this shoot! I was shooting Jordan when I found little Jane running around, and they didn't even mind that I spent the first five minutes of our shoot debating whether or not I wanted to to take this puppy home. haha! :)
(P.S. I still need to find a home for her!!)

Jordan has the PRETTIEST eyes, especially when she was facing the sun. So awesome.

Did I mention how much I adore out-takes?

Because I do.

So I love randomness thrown in on my blog...let's be honest, I love randomness in general...and I saw miss elsie do a "what's in my bag" blog post and thought it'd be fun. Then I actually looked in my bag... Why I need to carry all this around with me at all times, I have no idea. But here goes:
